Congratulations to Tania León, who has been nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in the category of Best Classical Contemporary Composition for her piece “Inura.” “Inura” is one of the works featured on Ms. León’s CD “In Motion” (TROY1284). The winners will be announced on November 15, 2012.

On Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19 the Boston Pops will present premiere performances of Peter Boyer’s new work The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers. These performances will feature narration by distinguished actors Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. Future performances will take place at Symphony Hall from May 20-22, at Charles River Esplanade on July 3 and 4, at Tanglewood on July 18, and at Hyannis, MA on August 1. These performances will feature narrations by Alec Baldwin, Chris Cooper, and others.

IN CONCERT: LARRY BELL AND FRIENDS will take place at New England Conservatory’s Brown Hall on Wednesday May 19, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will feature a program of compositions by LARRY BELL (including several world premieres). Performers will include tenor Thomas Gregg, Phillip Lima, baritone, mezzo soprano Bethany Tammaro Condon and others.

Art songs and piano works by composer H. LESLIE ADAMS will be featured on Central Regional NANM Scholarship Hearing. This concert will include a performance of Mr. Adams’ THE ECSTASY OF LOVE FOR VIOLIN AND PIANO. This event will take place at the Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. The public is invited.

TOM CIPULLO will perform some of his light songs, along with singers Tory Browers, Rebecca Jo Loeb, and Michael Anthony McGee as part of the American Opera Project’s Opera Grows In Brooklyn program. This concert will take place at Galapagos in Brooklyn, New York and tickets are $20 ($15 for students and senior citizens).

ROSA ANTONELLI will perform in The Allen Room at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall. This performance will feature the New York premiere performance of L’AUTOMNE WALTZ by Isaac Albéniz.
