Three world premiere recordings highlight this disc of chamber music by the distinguished American composer Jennifer Higdon. Ms. Higdon served as Eminent Artist-in-Residence at the University of Wyoming and this composer-supervised recording was the culmination of her activities there. Ms. Higdon comments that when composing “I often picture colors as if I were spreading them on a canvas, except I do so with melodies, harmonies, and through the instruments themselves.” All of the performers serve on the music department faculty at the University of Wyoming.Contents:
