Born in 1948, composer/pianist Steven R. Gerber studied at Haverford College and Princeton. His music has been performed by orchestras and ensembles across the United States, including the San Francisco Symphony, the National Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Louisville Orchestra. His music is especially popular in Russia and the Ukraine where there have been dozens of performances of his orchestral, solo and chamber works. His music appears on the Chandos, Naxos, Koch and Arabesque labels. This recording includes almost all of his solo piano music performed in reverse chronological order, interspersed with a riveting performance of his Duo for violin and piano by Gregory Fulkerson and Jennifer Rinehart.Contents:
