A beautiful program of music for guitar.

American guitarist Liz Hogg has been described as "playing with a more distinctive and original approach that includes quickly-strummed chords, chiming arpeggios, and rapid-fire picking." (Geoff Cabin) As a classical guitarist and performer of her own mostly electric guitar music, Hogg has toured 12 countries playing at numerous festivals and concert halls. The recipient of numerous awards including being the first American to win a fellowship for performance and study at the Lanciano International Guitar Festival in Italy, she has also been a featured artist at the Internacional Camerata 21, CMJ, and New Sounds Live festivals. A graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, she received a Master of Music degree from Mannes. She maintains a private teaching studio and is on the faculty of conservatories throughout New York City. In addition to works by Brazilian composers Francisco Paulo Mignone and Heitor Villa-Lobos, this recording includes works by Ernst Krenek, Adam Darr, J.S. Bach, and Wenzel Thomas Matiegka.
